Talex will deliver IT services for public libraries.

31 December 2009 Information Society Development Foundation has signed the agreement with Talex SA for the supply of hardware and IT services for public libraries in the first round of the Library Development Program.
Talex proposed the most competitive offer considering both the price and quality of hardware and its future distribution and servicing. It was particulary important, due to obligations for the technology partner, which includes hardware installation, maintanace and support services for librarians – said Jacek Wojnarowski, President of the Information Society Development Foundation.
Talex will deliver, install and maintain the IT infrastructure to public libraries participating in the Library Development Program. Talex will also offer support services and call center for the libraries.
Our experiences in similar projects from the public and financial sector let us plan and coordinate the whole implementation tasks in a way that guarantee the final success – said Janusz Gocałek, CEO Talex SA. We developed a dedicated software for tracking service cases and also launch a call center to support the librarians.
Talex – technology partner of the Library Development Program – will deliver hardware to 1282 libraries across Poland, and also digital cameras to all 1865 libraries participating in the first round of the Program. In all places there will be multimedia workstations with Internet access for the readers.
The total net value of the contract amounts to PLN 7.9 mln.
