Rating Tool is an environment to create rating models, run rating processes, and store and retrieve the results calculated from the defined models. The system includes the following modules:
- Designer — a module to create, modify, and manage rating models
- User — a module providing options for end users, enabling them to calculate ratings from the defined rating models, as well as to view archived ratings
- Administrator — a module which provides, among other functions, a mechanism for monitoring and automatically renew the calculated ratings.
The Designer module provides an environment for creating and modify rating models. A rating model is a definition of all elements necessary to conduct a complete rating process.
The User module enables the user to specify which rating model is applicable to the given customer, to execute the rating process, and to print a report summarizing the whole rating process. Additionally, the application enables viewing all archived ratings for the given customer, the list of all operations related to the given customer, and the history of all operations related to the rating process.
The Administrator module, in addition to standard configuration management options, provides two specific mechanisms which significantly improve management of the whole internal rating system:
- Monitoring module, which checks the time limits of rating renewals by users. Depending on the configuration parameters, users responsible for rating renewals may receive e-mail notifications reminding them of the necessity to run a new rating process.
- Automatic renewal (rating ongoing) module, which enables the ratings to be periodically renewed without active involvement of the users. The renewal is based on the parameters saved during the last rating process, supplemented with up-to-date data fetched by automatic data feeding interfaces.
