On 20-22 May 2019 in Poznan 10th European HPC Infrastructure Workshop took place, at which our Security Officer Michał Jakś  delivered a lecture entitled: Data Centres facilities and infrastructures certification according to EN50600.

The tenth edition of the workshop was devoted to data center technologies that provide an appropriate working environment for large HPC (High Performance Computing) systems and data infrastructure.

The event brought together specialists dealing with the design and operation of the HPC center, who discussed the latest trends in infrastructure and technologies for supercomputing centers. The requirements concerning HPC centres differ significantly from those for traditional data centres, so the workshops are a unique forum for exchanging information with industry representatives from all over the world. Many interesting topics were discussed, such as Green Data Center projects and heat reuse, power grids and supply, as well as the impact and opportunities of new technologies.

The organizers of the event were: CEA (Commissariat à l’energie atomique et aux énergies alternatives, France), LRZ (Leibniz Supercomputing Centre, Germany), CSCS (Swiss National Supercomputing Centre, Switzerland), KTH (Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden), PSNC (Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Centre, Poland).
